Dave and I had the plan to travel on a direct flight to Tokyo from Minneapolis yesterday at around 3. We waited patiently to hear our names called to be given a seat assignment on the plane, but that moment never came. MSP to NRT has only one flight a day and Thursday's looked just as promising as the one we didn't get on. So, we decided to try another strategy. There were two flights to Seattle Wednesday night so we listed for the five o'clock and had to run to try to make the flight... the door closed as we ran up to the counter. The next flight was at 9:15 and luckily we were able to get on that one. So we stayed in Seattle last night and decided to hang out down town for a while until our second attempt at Tokyo would be made.
I really enjoyed the time spent in downtown Seattle and am excited to post pictures of our visit to the daily market that the locals and visitors can enjoy as well as a the architectural attraction of the Seattle Public Library!
We had to be back at the airport by noon to make sure we could do everything we could to get on the flight to Tokyo at 2 o'clock. We had a bit of a nervous wait for a while today, but I am now sitting in the airport blogging while waiting to board the flight! That will be another great post I believe. All of my pictures from Tokyo, Japan and hopefully a bunch of good stories to accompany them! I hope you're all excited, because I really am!
